Breast Screening Saves Lives

Posted on:

As we get older, the risk of breast cancer increases. Early detection can make all the difference. Breast Screening uses a breast x-ray, called a mammogram, to look for cancer that may be too small to see or feel.

If you are registered with a GP practice, registered as female and aged 50 up to your 71st birthday, NHS automatically send you an appointment for your mammogram.

Women aged 71 and older are still eligible for a mammogram but will not receive an automatic invitation.

If you have any questions about breast cancer screening our Nurse Assessor Esther. If you have any questions about breast cancer screening, Esther is happy to talk them through with you.

To arrange a call with Esther, please contact the practice and leave a message with our reception team.
